Vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada invites children of Ukrainian refugees to free education

By the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Philaret of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine, a coordination meeting was held between the representatives and deputy of the City Council of the City of Philadelphia David Oh, the Bishop of Philadelphia Luka (Zgoba) with the leadership of the Boarding School of the City of Philadelphia "String Theory Schools" (1600 Vine St. Philadelphia PA, 19102 ). The school is known for the fact that its teachers work using unique methods of combining art, design, architecture and natural sciences for schoolchildren of the youngest age. The meeting was attended by Ukrainian refugees who are currently in Philadelphia. Their children plan to continue their education in English at this school on a free basis.​

Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Jason Korosanit presented the tour for guests. The members of the delegation inspected the main floors, where the ballet class, music class, musical theater, choir class are located, on a separate floor there are spacious classrooms for natural sciences, computer technology and design, specialized laboratories for the development of aircraft control skills using modern computerized simulators. In total, the building has eight floors, a separate floor is dedicated to a business incubator and a kitchen, where famous YouTubers shoot videos to develop the relevant skills of schoolchildren.

As a result of the meeting, important agreements were reached regarding the possibility of free education for the children of Ukrainian refugees, up to 300 children in total. Bishop Luka (Zgoba) blessed the implementation of organizational powers to further ensure cooperation with the Boarding School of professors Alla Albertivna Pukhtetska and Matvienko Veronika Vasylivna.
